Production Assistant
Part-Time Per Event Needs / On-Call | Local In-Person
Location: Sebastian, Florida
Reports to: Production Manager/Operations Supervisor
OVERVIEW:
The Part-Time Production Assistant is an on-call role designed to ensure the smooth execution of events and daily operations at our retreat center. This position involves assisting with the setup and breakdown of events, providing support during activities, and helping various departments as needed. The ideal candidate has experience in event planning or production assistance, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks and work under pressure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Event Support:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, conferences, workshops, and retreat activities.
Arrange furniture, equipment, and decorations according to event requirements.
Provide support during events as needed, including assisting guests and addressing any concerns or requests.
General Assistance:
Assist other staff members and departments as required, including kitchen staff, housekeeping, and administrative personnel.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and safety drills as directed by management.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Operations Supervisor.
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience in event planning or production assistance is preferred.
Experience working in a retreat center or similar environment is a plus.
Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Monday, Slack
Strong customer service skills with a commitment to superior quality.
Attributes:
Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected situations with grace.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by event schedules.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with event setup and breakdown.
Must be able to perform physical tasks (lifting over 30-40lbs, standing and walking for long periods of time)
Physical stamina and endurance are necessary to perform tasks such as bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
