Cook with Purpose. Nourish the Land. Inspire Through Flavor.
ChoZen Retreat and the ChoZen Center for Regenerative Living (CCRL) are seeking a Seasonal Chef to lead culinary experiences that celebrate seasonal, local, and soul-nourishing food. This is more than a kitchen role—it’s an invitation to co-create healing, beauty, and community through every dish.

You’ll work closely with our farm, café, and event teams to align menus with the rhythm of the land and the regenerative ethos of CCRL.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare plant-forward, seasonal menus (with some animal protein options) for 10–65 guests per service
Collaborate with the ChoZen Farm to incorporate hyperlocal ingredients and reduce food waste
Lead a small culinary team in the ChoZen kitchen, ensuring meals are delivered on time, beautifully presented, and prepared with love
Support community activations such as our Artisan Markets, Sunday Café Pop-Ups, and seasonal events
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and sustainability standards in all kitchen operations
Engage with guests during immersive culinary moments—when appropriate—and share your passion for conscious food
Ideal Candidate Has:
A deep love for regenerative cooking, seasonal ingredients, and creating from the heart
3+ years of experience in professional kitchens, preferably in retreat or event-based settings
ServSafe certification or equivalent
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Creativity, flexibility, and grace under pressure
Willingness to work weekends and holidays as part of a seasonal schedule
