SERVER / EVENT SUPPORT:

ChoZen Retreat is seeking gig-based on-site Event Support / Servers who work on a per-retreat basis to ensure the retreat and meals run smoothly.  We are located in Sebastian Fl, so ideally this position is filled by someone who lives locally, or nearby. All meals will be compensated for the Production Coordinator during the days they are working, as retreats are typically 2-4 days long. ChoZen typically runs 3 retreats per month.

The ideal candidate for this position is a versatile and organized individual who can efficiently handle various tasks related to event setup, serving, and logistics. They should have excellent communication and customer service skills to assist with guest check-ins and front-of-house support. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of providing kitchen support and managing treatment or massage scheduling for guests. Flexibility to run errands and assist with equipment relocation is also essential, ensuring the smooth execution of events and venue operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs the tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Production Manager. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Setup and breakdown of decorations and supplies for dinners, activities, etc…

  • Serving and Bussing for meals

  • Assists with the moving, pickup, and delivery of equipment, supplies and materials. This includes the relocation, setup and teardown of furniture, equipment, and other materials based on the needs of the event and venue operation.

  • Run errands if necessary

  • Checking in Guests / Front of House support

  • Kitchen Support

  • Manage Treatment / Massage scheduling for guests 


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Event production, hospitality experience or similar is necessary.

  • Serving / Bussing in a restaurant or catering

  • Strong Organizational Skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to remain calm, kind, and level headed under pressure or time constraints

  • Provide Audio Visual (A/V Services) (lights and music)
